To provide the core functionalities of OWAMBE, we may collect the following data (subject to your explicit device permissions):

• Personal Information Name, email address, phone number, and profile picture when you register as a Host, Guest, or Vendor.
• Contact List (Crucial for App Functionality) With your explicit permission, we access your device’s phonebook/contacts solely to allow you to seamlessly invite guests to your events via the "Invite Guests" and "Co-Host" features. We do not sell or share your contact list with third-party marketers.
• Location Data We request access to your location to enable the "Event Location Map" feature, helping guests navigate to event venues.
• Camera and Photo Library We request access to your camera and media files to allow you to upload images to the "Event Album," set "Presenter Profiles," and scan items for "QR-Code Access."
• User-Generated Content Event details (Programmes, Dress Codes, RSVP status), Vendor service descriptions, and Broadcast Messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Create and manage your user or vendor account.
• Facilitate event creation, RSVP tracking, and ticketing (QR-Code Access).
• Send event invitations and Broadcast Messages on your behalf.
• Display event locations on interactive maps.
• Populate public or private Event Albums.
• Improve App functionality and monitor user engagement.

3. How We Share Your Information

• Other Users If you are a Host, your event details (including location and programme) will be visible to invited Guests. If you use the Event Album, your uploaded photos will be visible to authorized event attendees.
• Vendors If you interact with a Vendor through the App, necessary details may be shared to facilitate the service.
• Legal Obligations We may disclose your data if required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes.

4. Data Security and Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with App services. The Host can delete event-specific data (like Guest lists and Albums).

5. Your Privacy Rights and Data Deletion

In compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store guidelines, you have the right to:

• Revoke Permissions You can revoke access to your Contacts, Camera, or Location at any time through your device settings (note: this will disable corresponding app features).
• Delete Account and Data You can request the complete deletion of your account and associated personal data directly within the App settings or by contacting us. Upon request, we will erase your profile, uploaded media, and stored contacts from our active servers.

6. Children's Privacy

OWAMBE is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, via a broadcast message within the App.
